How can I use ScAir Structures?
ScAir Structures
aren’t just for Halloween. Although a haunted attraction is the
most obvious answer to this question, ScAir Structures can be
applied to a much broader set of applications, because they can be
transported in a standard truck or van and assembled by two people
in 3 hours or less. ScAir Structures
can be operated as; a dark maze, a laser tag arena, paint ball or
water tag arena, they can be operated at carnivals, fairs,
festivals, pumpkin patches, park district events and farm or other
locations too. ScAir Structures
can be rented to corporations for team building events or to event
planners for other special occasions.
If you own a Halloween,
costume, party supply or magic store, you could set up a ScAir
Structure
in your parking lot and decorate it with your merchandise. Then
operate the attraction with a minimal size staff, for free or a
small entry fee. This will allow you to market your merchandise
inside the attraction. It will also help promote your place of
business and provide a 12’ by 30’ billboard in your parking lot.
It can also be simply used to add additional temporary square
footage to your location, during the busy seasons.
One of our customers had the
most unique idea for ScAir Structures .
Their company promoted nightclub events. Their plan is to use
ScAir Structures
to provide a temporary nightclub at locations throughout their
city. The disc jockey, effect lighting and foam party and dance
floor would be set up inside the unit.
Because of the low cost, ScAir
Structures ,
provide start-up haunts an inexpensive way to develop their venue.
However, if you have an existing attraction ScAir Structures
can compliment your attraction the following ways:
1) By adding a ScAir Structure
to you attraction, you turn your single attraction venue into a
multi- attraction venue, allowing you to increase your ticket
price.
2) A ScAir Structure
can be added as a single themed room to your existing attraction.
3) You can place a ScAir
Structure
at the entrance to your attraction and use it as a themed Queue
line. This will provide a more attractive and entertaining area
for your patrons to wait in line before entering the main
attraction. It will also protect them from foul weather conditions
while they wait.
4) You can place ScAir
Structures
at a location separate from the main entrance and use it as a
V.I.P entrance. Simply charge an additional fee on top of the
standard ticket price and lead those patrons through the ScAir
Structure
entrance.
5) Since ScAir Structures
can be set up in hours and operated with a staff of just a few
people, you can operate it throughout the year at local fairs,
carnivals and festivals. This will help generate additional
revenue for your main Halloween season attraction and it will also
provide you with the opportunity to promote your Halloween
attraction at these off-season events.
6) Finally, ScAir Structures
can be a good investment for home haunters. Although the cost is
somewhat higher than some home haunters may want to spend, the
benefits make it worth while. The unit itself can be set up in a
front yard, backyard, 3 car driveway, etc.. And two people can set
up the entire ScAir Structure ,
including lighting, sound and decorations, in one weekend. Home
haunters won’t have to spend nearly as much time away from their
families assembling their haunt. Plus, when Halloween is over the
unit will roll up and fit in the corner of a garage. Eventually,
the unit could be moved to a field or parking lot and turned into
a “for-profit” event.
What makes “scaring up” my
ScAir Structure
unique?
One of the best tactical
features in our ScAir Haunt is the walls. By simply attaching a
wall with the Velcro tabs at the top and leaving one or both of
the bottom corners unsecured, an actor can slip in and out of the
walls. This gives one actor access to as many as four
different zones.
When a wall panel is attached
between interior columns a natural “recess” is created, giving an
actor the opportunity to stand directly in a pathway or room
without being seen.
Another great “built in“
feature is the darkness. ScAir Structures
are made of black material, when assembled and all openings are
closed, you cannot see your hand in front of your face. You could
operate your ScAir Structure
day or night.
What are some of the special
features built into ScAir Structures ?
ScAir Structures
modular design allows for the interior layout to
change as often as you desire. Multiple structures can be
connected to extend the size or your attraction and additional
ScAir Structure
Rooms can be added to any of the doorways.
ScAir Structures
are not designed with a specific theme, although
interior and exterior themed panels are available, so you can
customize the look of your attraction.
ScAir Structures
may be toned down for younger children or cranked
up to scare even the pros. The entire surface of the
ScAir Structures
can also be painted to fit your own theme.
The interior walls for the
ScAir Haunt are made of the same durable vinyl and are secured
by Velcro tabs at the top and at the bottom. It takes about 30
seconds to secure one wall. This not only makes the initial set-up
easy but allows for changes to be made even after your event has
opened. You can literally move walls nightly or even in between
groups.
ScAir Structures
even have “cradles” built into the perimeter walls,
enabling extension cords, run speaker wires, etc.. to be routed
thought the structure without being seen. Props, lighting, sound
equipment and signage can be secured and displayed throughout the
ScAir Structure
using the “D” rings integrated into the unit or
with duct tape and plastic ties.
All ScAir Structures
are equipped with a minimum of four doors that can be secured in
the open or closed position. They are also equipped with
ventilation hatches in the roof.
Although, BLACK, is the most
popular color, it’s not the only one. You can order you ScAir
Structure
in a variety of colors, or you can change the color by ordering
the exterior color panels.
ScAir Structures can and should
be anchored to the ground, using the double looped nylon strapping
that is sewn into the unit around the lower and upper perimeters.
When properly secured, ScAir Structures are able to withstand the
elements. The low profile and large footprint allow them to stand
up to strong winds. The water resistant peaked roofs allow rain
and snow to roll off.
ScAir Structures are inflated
by Drieaz blowers, the only manufacture with the UL approval. Once
turned on they only draw about 11amps, so they will not be a big
draw on your electricity source. Once your unit is inflated, the
blowers can stay on for the duration of your event, thanks to the
self lubricated sealed housing.
The only tools you need to
assemble a ScAir Structure
are a hand truck and a ladder. The only building materials you
will need include; duct tape, plastic ties, etc..
When properly disassembled,
ScAir Structures
can be stored in the corner of a garage or a backyard shed. This
means transporting your ScAir Structure
can be done with just a pick-up truck.
ScAir Structures
are made of a flame resistant 12oz vinyl that will stand up to
years of use.
The bottom line..
ScAir Structures will not only
save you money, but operated correctly, they can pay for
themselves their first season!
Our “turn key” unit, the ScAir
Haunt, can pay for itself in just 13 nights, with only 200 patrons
per night, at a $5 ticket price. That is a low turnout at a cheap
ticket price. Not to mention that after Halloween is over you can
continue to operate and rent out your ScAir Structure
throughout
the year.
Labor cost money. Since ScAir Structures
can be assembled within hours, your volunteer force can be used
for performing not construction and your financing can be used for
marketing, props, etc..
ScAir Structures
provide a lot more flexibility over conventional
haunts, when choosing a location. Since assembly and disassembly
takes hours not weeks, you will only require a location for a
fraction of the time, this results in dramatic savings on your
lease. ScAir Structures
can be set-up inside or outside, in a field or
parking lot. And since no building materials are required there
will be no waste, customizing you haunt to a specific location
